Join us as we welcome Richard Moseley for an informative presentation on Spring Wildflowers of  Ohio!

Richard served from 1975 to 1990 as the first chief of the Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  He was involved in the planning and development of the state nature preserve program from its inception.

Under his leadership the Division acquired and dedicated 103 nature preserves and the Ohio Natural Areas program was nationally recognized as one of the outstanding state programs in the country.  He also served as Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Richard currently serves on the Board of Park Commissioners for the Licking Park District.

His earlier service included appointments as the Chief Naturalist for the Columbus Metro Park District and for the ODNR Division of Parks and Recreation.  He was elected to the Ohio Conservation Hall of Fame in 1993.

Moseley has authored books on Ohio’s natural history and remains active in leading wildflower and nature walks in the state.
